Gary Leavelle > 12.07.09 Granddad Remembered This is one of five fishing lures my Granddad gave me when I was a young boy. I'm sure they were "duds" to him, but I managed to hang on to them through the years. I'll revisit this idea at a future date. This photo was heavily cropped and color adjusted. I need to find better lighting and background to shoot them on; definitely better than under my desk fluorescent lamp. Marginal focus on the spinner doesn't help it either.

Gary Leavelle > 12.14.09 Pollution Despite the politicizing and questionable science of the whole Global Warming/Climate Change confab, I think we should be good stewards of the earth. Remember all that crap ends up somewhere. This is a creek near my work that has a nice grove of cattails--at least it would be nice except for all the trash/floatsam. This pic was an attempt to make an ugly subject even uglier, rather than prettier. I cranked up the contrast and sharpness to make it less "pleasant".
